Withdrawing winnings from an online casino: what happens after you click
Winning is the easy part. Getting the money out depends on three things: whether you have finished any bonus, whether your identity is verified, and which route you use.

The usual order of events
- Finish the bonus. If you took one, the wagering must be complete. Asking for a withdrawal before or after activation can cancel the bonus.
- Pass the ID check. Expect a request for photo ID, proof of address and proof of your payment method.
- Request the payout to the same method you deposited with.
- Wait for the casino's processing, then for the payment route itself.
Waiting times as the casinos quote them
| Casino | E-wallet | Card |
|---|---|---|
| Cleobetra | Up to 8 hours | 24 to 72 hours |
| Casinova | Up to 12 hours | 24 to 72 hours |
| Betrepublic | Up to 12 hours | 24 to 72 hours |
| Kingmaker | 0 to 24 hours | 3 to 5 days |
| Betwest | 0 to 24 hours | 24 to 72 hours |
These are the casinos' own figures, not test results of ours. Treat them as best case, and allow extra time for a first withdrawal, which is where verification usually happens.
Documents to have ready
- A government photo ID with all four corners visible.
- A recent document showing your address, in the same name.
- For a card, a photo of the card with the middle digits covered. For an e-wallet, a screenshot of the account.
Mismatched names and cropped pictures cause most delays.
Caps and limits
Some casinos cap the winnings you can take from a bonus. Our reference table reports 10x the bonus at Casinova, Cleobetra, Betrepublic and Betwest, and none at Kingmaker. Free-spin winnings can be capped lower still. Check the current terms, since they change.
If a withdrawal stalls
- Check your account for a request for documents.
- Write to support and keep the reply.
- Do not cancel and re-deposit to "unlock" the payout, and do not pay a fee to release winnings.
- Take screenshots of your balance and the request.
These casinos are offshore and unlicensed in Australia, so there is no Australian regulator to escalate to. That is the main reason to test with a small withdrawal early. If gambling is becoming a problem, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. 18+.
